Email-in processing issue

From mid November until a few days ago we had an issue with our old production instance and staging instance receiving emails destined for this instance, and processing them instead. This has now been fixed.

This caused 34 emails to be ‘lost’ in those other instances, rather than handled by this one. The majority of those emails were categorised as spam, but there were around 15 legitimate emails lost.

I’m about to email all email addresses which sent emails which were processed by the wrong instance apologising, and suggesting that they resend their posts.

Apologies also to everybody else affected by these valuable contributions to discussions being lost.
