Feedback for slow responses to Toolkit -> Password Manager Bugs

I am unfamiliar with this forum, so please forgive me if it is in the wrong place. I have been a big fan of Firefox for many years. I like the versatility of it, the many add-ins and extensions that are available, BUT, even at its current version 149, there are STILL annoying bugs in the TOOLKIT: Password Manager and Site Compatibility areas.

There are (from a quick buglist check) 794 still open in the Password Manage side, and 233 in the Site Compatibility area.

I know the BUGBOT prompts for the correct priority setting when not set, bit it is sporadic, can often take months, then more months to actually get set.

I actually got copied on a 15 year old bug (from an old XP system running FF3.6!!), that someone managed to find and respond to. Take a look at BUG 608562 if you are interested. I guess I must applaud that effort, but then the OTHER 1027 bugs ALSO need some TLC and attention!

What really concerns me, is the fact that many bugs against password manager and Site Compatibility say ”works in Chrome”, and basic non-technical users will just drop Firefox and end up staying with it (or Edge, whatever works better for them).

As I am a retired sysadmin, I can work around most things, like no username in the UN/SITE/PW entry (a common issue when updating a password), but this is just going to speed up the user-base losses when affected users go to Chrome or Edge etc.

Hopefully there are some “enthusiastic manager” types on here, that can get some better traction for these issues?

Apologies, the old bug is 612908, and NOT 608562.
