Firefox 87 addressbar for web-ext developers

I’ve just upgraded to Firefox 87 and when I run my development build using web-ext I get this ugliness:

I really hope this can be disabled in the about:config.
I’m developing addons every day and this hurts my eyes :frowning:

Can someone help me please?

This is to show you that Firefox is being controlled via a remote protocol, which is accurate for web-ext in live reload mode.

Yeah, I’ve noticed the message “Browser is under remote control” when I hover the robot icon.
But that doesn’t make it less ugly. I really really hope there is a switch off for this

If this is a recent change, could you please use mozregression to track down the bug that changed it and ask if it was on purpose, or if there’s pref or something to opt out (or eventually file a new bug blocking it to that for web-ext).

If not a switch, a userChrome.css rule may be able to replace/remove the background image.

I was thinking about that but the web-ext creates new profile for each instance.

Anyway, I think I’m just gonna adapt… I’m way to busy to handle it right now.
Thank you all!

Thanks @caitlin! I’ve left them a message.

Also, is it just me or Voting feature disappeared from bugzilla?
