FOSDEM 2018 - Call for Volunteers

Hello everyone, we are proud to announce the opening of our Call for Volunteers for FOSDEM 2018 in Brussels. This call is following our earlier call for proposals (FOSDEM 2018 - Call for Papers)

Call for Volunteers : FOSDEM 2018 (Brussels, Belgium) (3rd and 4th of February)

FOSDEM is the biggest open-source event in Europe. It will take place as usual in the ULB in Brussels on the 3rd and 4th of February 2018. More informations regarding FOSDEM can be found on the official website (https://fosdem.org)

Like we did for the past few years, we will be sponsoring Mozillians for travel and accommodations.
As some of you already know, these past few years we have been sponsoring volunteers to come help us at FOSDEM and we intend to sponsor ~6 volunteers for this edition.

If you are travelling from Europe, you are eligible to ask for a sponsoring (covering transportation and accommodation).

If you are from another region, you are welcome to attend and join us but we won’t able to sponsor your travel or accommodation.

The plan for this year is to maintain and grow Mozilla presence and impact at FOSDEM. Like each year, we will try to improve and learn on the previous editions.

The selections criteria are similar to last year, and we are going to ask people to indicate their goals for FOSDEM 2018 and skills to help us man the booth and the Devroom.

The selection criteria are based on:

  • Proximity to Brussels (cost wise, not kilometer wise)
  • Level of involvement as a Mozillian/Reps
  • Your goals and Mozilla goals for 2018.
  • Experience in manning a booth or a devroom

The form to sign-up is available here : https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfkpnn7GdAklQPqNgyrvpuV0SzYB8tJJ6AxfZEUeV7KuTAp4Q/viewform?usp=sf_link

The deadline is 17th of December 2017 at 23:59 Central European Time!

The selected volunteers will be announced by the end of the year.

If you have any inquiry, please feel free to send me an email or to reply in this topic.

Best regards,
The Mozilla @ FOSDEM team

Hello,

For the first few who attempted to apply you might have been redirected to a page asking to request access.

This has been fixed, every persons for which it happened has been contacted by email referring them to take the new link in the Discourse post.

If this issue still happens, feel free to poke me on irc or answer in the thread.

Cheers,
Anthony.
