Hi Friends,
I’m getting lost trying to search through themes and add-ons for one particular feature. So I’m hoping that you all, who are much more familiar with them than I am, can give me some guidance.
I would like to make the titlebar wider, so that the Minimize and Close button (and the one in the middle whose name I don’t know) are bigger. They are too small for me, so I’m hoping that making the titlebar wider would also make the buttons bigger.
Or if there is any way to make those buttons bigger, would you all please tell me how? I’m posting here because my best guess is that an addon could accomplish it. But if there is any other way to do it, would someone please tell me how? Maybe with a config file edit or something?
Themes and add-ons can’t modify UI elements like the minimize button in the main browser UI. These controls are usually managed by your operating system. Sometimes these controls are exposed as accessibility settings.
Hope that helps you get pointed in the right direction!
Well as it turns out, there is no setting for the titlebar that I can find.
I can’t find any accessibility settings for Firefox. There are a few in my operating system settings, but they don’t affect the browser.
Does anyone know any way to make those buttons bigger? Maybe in about config or changing some code somewhere?
Or should I post in a different board?
Thanks again
Edit
Actually there is a os setting that affects the titlebar. It makes the text larger, and the buttons. But it changes them from ridiculously tiny, to just tiny. So I need to make them even bigger than that setting. Thanks again.
Ooohhhh, I see. Well maybe I have posted in entirely the wrong forum. I thought the titlebar was created by the program, but it looks like most or all windows show the same style of titlebar. Maybe I should post in the LInux Mint forum?
That might be best. When doing so, mention what desktop environment you’re using (Cinnamon, Xfce, MATE, something else). Each might have a different workflow to customize the way windows look and feel.
