Is there a plan to allow addons override New tab page on Android?

Or at least, allow to set custom New tab URL manually, just like in the old Firefox for Android?

I’m looking at the bugzilla but I can’t find issue for it.

I’m not aware of any plans to allow extensions to customize the new tab page or home page, but I’m happy to raise this request as we start working on what’s next after launching extensions on Firefox for Android.
