Hello Reps,
Here at Mozilla we know that our contributors help make our strategies and activities stronger, bolder, and more diverse.
That is why we are opening up the way we come up with communications strategies so we can think globally and act locally. Anyone can participate in to create more content for your local community, get your ideas shared globally and influence our overall communications strategy. Your ideas could range from a complete communications campaign, to a localized blog post, to a press pitch, to a video, to a series of Facebook posts or anything in between.
The first issue we are going to tackle together is encryption. You can find the wiki page on this project here:
https://wiki.mozilla.org/Open_Comms/Encryption
Do you have an idea on how to educate people around the world or in your community about the importance of encryption?
We are looking for ideas on how to:
- Catalyze a global conversation about the importance of online privacy
- Make encryption relatable through popular culture references
- Simplify encryption so it can be understood and embraced by a mainstream audience
Please submit your ideas before June 3rd. Once all submissions are in we will send out an email to everyone with next steps and timing. We are so excited to see what everyone comes up with!
Thanks,
