Hi all, I work at the Mozilla Foundation and we are hosting a few workshops with an open source quantum non profit, the Unitary Foundation. I thought these might be relevant to this community, so I wanted to share the details below:

  • Why Quantum Technology Needs Open and Accessible Benchmarking
    Quantum Technology is at an inflection point, but faces big engineering challenges in order to create tools that can unlock new scientific discovery and benefits for humanity. Benchmarking, a key tool across emerging technical fields, is the best way to tell the story of its development, its impact, and its risks. In many ways, participation in the emerging technology is exclusionary due to the high level of educational experience required. We look at current philanthropic and community building approaches aimed at democratizing this space, and what else needs to be done to ensure more voices are represented and more fields gain access to its potential benefits.
