Question regarding review time for GPTFlow Firefox Add-on

Hi everyone,

We wanted to ask for some information regarding the review of our Firefox add-on GPTFlow (https://www.gptflow.it).

To be honest, we are a bit confused about the current delay because the first version of our extension was approved in about 30 minutes, while this new version — which is practically the same extension with mainly a new name/branding — has now been pending for several days.

We completely understand that reviews can take time and that manual checks may sometimes be necessary, especially with AI-related tools. We just wanted to understand if there is any specific issue with the submission or if additional information is needed from our side.

After spending a lot of time and work on a project, it’s honestly a bit discouraging not knowing if everything is okay with the review process, so we thought it was better to ask directly here since we could not find a direct support email/contact for this type of situation.

We really appreciate the work Mozilla does for the add-ons ecosystem and we’re fully available if anything else is needed from us.

Thanks a lot :slightly_smiling_face:

Hi GPTFlow Team,

Thanks for reaching out — and apologies for the delay on your latest submission. You’re right that this one is taking longer than your first version, and I understand how discouraging that gap can be after putting real work into a release.

A bit of honest context: we’re navigating a significant rise in submissions. Part of it is healthy ecosystem growth; a meaningful part is AI — more developers are building extensions, and each one is shipping more code per version than we were seeing a year ago. So our manual reviews, especially for AI-related tools where we look closely, are taking longer than they used to.

We’re not rushing through them on purpose. The same care that protects Firefox users also protects developers like you — a fast review that misses something turns into a much bigger problem for everyone, including the legitimate developers who get caught up in the cleanup. So we’d rather take a bit longer and do it right.

From your side, no action is needed right now — your submission isn’t stuck, it’s waiting to be reviewed.

We appreciate your patience and kindness,

-Christos
