Rework the "Custom URLs..." box under the Settings

I like to use the “Custom URLs…” option when opening Firefox as a reminder on what to do for the day and what to finish from before. The issue I have is with setting multiple tabs to open because the text box to type in is locked into one size. Trying to create multiple tabs with this small box is difficult. Plus the text staying unable to move along with the text cursor doesn’t help. I would appreciate an advanced setting where it can be a grid-like matter of adding & removing with ease any links to open. Or perhaps another way of working it out an implementation.

This forum isn’t very active and posting here isn’t a good way to reach the developers.

Two ways to make suggestions to Mozilla:
• Suggest the idea with Mozilla Connect. https://connect.mozilla.org/
• Report the issue in Bugzilla. Bugzilla Main Page

There are also some other approaches you can try:

  1. A common work-around I use in a similar circumstance is to edit in a text editor and copy/paste into small text boxes.
  2. You can create a window with the URLs you want and click Use Current Pages, or create a bookmark folder with the URLs and click Use Bookmark… (I like the bookmark approach – if you Sync bookmarks then you can get those pages onto another machine easily or open the URLs any time you want.)
  3. It’s not quite the same, but I use pinned tabs for URLs I want open when I start. (And I have them in a bookmark folder so if I close windows in the wrong order I can get them back quickly. (There have been discussions in Bugzilla on providing a way to avoid losing pinned tabs like this but nothing has been implemented.))

Thank You for the Reply.
I do use method Number 1, but I’ll suggest the OP to these links you provided.
But thanks for the other methods. I’ll try them out, especially Number 2.
