Future versions of Firefox side tabs should include click to keep it open and click to close.
I also recommend the option to turn off the hover affect to stop it intruding on your back arrows and other UI items.
Also a question, is their a plan or an add on so that you can customize it so that you can put your pocket bookmarks there or Firefox bookmarks on there?
