I hope I have posted this in the right place, because I look for someone that can make a plugin or maybe it already exists and I searched wrong.
I have a rather large structure in my email, we have about 4000 folders where emails are sorted in. Some of these folders have up to 100 sub and sub sub folders. It is a huge waste of time that there is no way to search or filter folders based on a keyword. I wonder if I maybe missed a existing plugin that makes this happen or if not what would it take to develop something like this? I would be prepared to pay someone to make this.
The idea would be to have a search field above the Folder Pane that allows to filter folders either instantly as you type or with a search button where only folders would show that have the search term in the folder name.
Hi, Thanks for the comment. Yes its a lot of folders. We use Mozilla for over 20 years and there is lots of email accumulated. Actually Thunderbird is handling it nicely to the most part but sometimes it is hard to sort the mails in the right folders because it is time-consuming is you do not remember in what sub-folder the folder is in.
LOL, yes I started this when it was Called Netscape mail in 95, yes I am old
The extension is good it works fine but would be nice if it would be there p[ermanent without the need to pres Shift - G. But it does the trick. Thank you very much.
