Why do web browsers based on the Firefox browser all have this problem ?
Language → Set other languages
Remove unwanted languages …
Click once ( OK ) …
Then press once ( Set another language ) …
Revert to default settings …

You need to reorder the languages, moving the most preferred ones to the top. Please also note that this setting only affects webpages.
That’s weird. Try running Firefox in Troubleshoot Mode
