I’ve tried to reach the review team via email and in comments within the developer hub, but haven’t been able to reach anyone.
Our extension seems to be stuck in the “Awaiting review” state for about a week. Currently we’re getting complaints from Firefox users who are stuck on a version that is four releases behind the versions listed on Chrome and Apple App Store.
Earlier versions of our Firefox extension were approved much faster, so I am wondering if there is anything missing on our side, or I should just be patient
next published version: Not approved it’s been almost a week now, although the other extension usually updates automatically after about 3-5 minutes and in the “recent actions” column I see the entry: “Yandex Wordstat Extension status changed to Approved. 2 hours, 38 minutes ago from Add-ons Review Team”, however, this essentially does not lead to a physical version update
Hi Edward, our addon has been stuck “Awaiting review” since September 27, and haven’t seen any replies to my comments or email. I would love any updates or help you can provide. Thank you!

@Edward_Sullivan I also have an extension and we’ve submitted a version on Feb 20 that hasn’t been reviewed, then I’ve submitted an update on March 10 and I am still waiting for it to get reviewed…
Is it possible to help me since many users complain that the Firefox is outdated….
Can you provide any insight? Our extension has been awaiting review since March 10, 2026. Is that normal? Safari and Chrome typically approve in a few hours (1-2 business days max), whereas Firefox is consistently taking 2-4 weeks. We get a lot of complaints from Firefox users awaiting updates and I am not sure what to say to them.
I’m afraid this is the current reality for us, and I’m sorry you’re experiencing it.
For the past few months, we’ve been receiving a tremendous volume of new add-on submissions daily, and a significant portion of those have been malicious. User privacy and security are our top priority, which is why we’ve taken the extra step of manually reviewing all submissions. Unfortunately, this has a real impact on legitimate developers like you, and we take it seriously.
We’re actively working to improve both review time and quality and to address the backlog as quickly as we can. I’m really sorry about this experience. This is not the kind of delay we want developers to face.
Is there not some faster queue for existing addons that are submitting updates? It seems crazy that they would be stuck behind all of these malicious new addons.
I hear you and we are doing our best to address the situation. Unfortunately we have experienced even the most unexpected scenarios, so we need to be extremely cautious when implementing new processes
