Thunderbird - No Highlighter - How is This Even Possible?

How is it even possible, that the best email client in the world, doesn’t even come with a highlighter? And are there no developers out there willing to create a highlighter Add-on? There used to be a highlighter add-on, but it no longer works with the latest versions of Thunderbird.

There is a simple way to highlight with the mark html tag:

Select some text, Insert/HTML…, add the mark tag.

Thanks for the suggestion, but that is not at
all simple.

  It requires knowledge of html.

  We need a simple button to highlight words we select.

I agree, the ability to highlight text is important and should be a basic feature in the Message Compose Window. It has been requested in Bugzilla and needs votes!
