There is an existing add-on that is supported on earlier versions of FF, but not on version 48.0.1.
It is “Auto Browser Closer”. Since I am not a programmer, could one of you programmers take a look at it and update it to run on FF 48+?
My wife is constantly walking away from the computer after being on Facebook and leaving the browser open with several windows (there have been as high as 43 windows open at one time) open. Of course, this makes my computer vulnerable to hackers who would like to plant trojans, malware, etc. on my computer.
This little add-on would shut down FF after a period of time.
I appreciate any help anyone can give me in this matter.
After posting this request I discovered that I can use Windows 10 Task Manager to accomplish this task. My problem is: Waterfox 48 will be running and I don’t know what arguments to use to close the program.
Here is the scenario: At 11:45 PM each evening I want the Windows Task Manager to run a program to check and see if Waterfox Browser is open and close it, along with all of the windows related to the Internet that are open.
If I use the command to run Waterfox.exe, instead of closing the program, Task Manager will try to open another copy of Waterfox.
How would I set the command/arguments so that Task Manager will close the already open program?
Again, Thanks for your help.
