Hi all,
I hope you are all well and enjoying the last says of summer. I was away on holiday until the previous week, but was excited to return and see so much great work in progress!
This week I have done a lot of work planning for what we will do in Q4 2017, as well as in our last sprint of this quarter.
In terms of actual writing work, I fixed a whole bunch of docs bugs related to the Firefox 56 release, and got the release notes and associated other resources ready.
The most interesting bits I did were:
- Documenting the Basic Card payment API, which is closely related to the Payment Request API. See https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/API/BasicCardResponse and https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/API/BasicCardRequest.
- Documenting headless mode: https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/Firefox/Headless_mode. This seems to be causing excitement in the dev community at large; my article was at #1 on Hacker News yesterday.
- Adding BrowserStack content to the automated testing tutorials: https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Learn/Tools_and_testing/Cross_browser_testing/Automated_testing and https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Learn/Tools_and_testing/Cross_browser_testing/Your_own_automation_environment. I am still in the middle of doing this, but am pleased it is getting done; previously I thought these docs felt too biased towards Sauce Labs.
Please let me know what you have all been up to. Thanks!
