Today, a broken link checker notified me that it’s been removed.
Can you please tell me why that post has been removed, after being online for several months? For others who still want to read it, I also published it to my blog.
I am very sorry about that. It was archived together with the “Community Portal” category as part of announced work to clean up this Discourse instance to make it easier to use for contributors working on Mozilla projects.
The work on the community portal stopped some years ago and (as was the case) we had many categories across this instance that were not being used, leading to spam (that your post was not) choking the platform and posts being posted in places where they may not be picked up (kind of the ball park your post was in).
As mentioned, this is a platform designed for contributors to Mozilla projects, but for a feedback/idea, I recommend that you head over to Connect.Mozilla.org which is our feedback and ideas platform. This may sound like a throwaway line, but in this case it is very much true - Mozilla staff do look at the feedback and ideas posted there and (from time to time) pick up and follow up on them.
As mentioned, sorry that your post was picked up in the tidying work, but connect.mozilla.org would be a good place to head over to.
