Longer Version

With the arrival of two-step authentication for Firefox Accounts, the IAM Project extends its list of authentication providers accordingly. This step provides a convenient and safe login option to our Contributors. It enables broader participation on popular Mozilla sites such as Taskcluster, Discourse, Common Voice (coming soon) and many more.

will firefox accounts have more precedence over github auth. ?

In our “secure account ratcheting” FxA is considered one step higher than Github Login.

So the order is:

  1. Ldap
  2. FxA
  3. Github
  4. Google or email
