Hi Mozillians,
I’m trying to localize my app and I’m stuck on the “make it not look broken” part of the UI. I’ve been reading up on Fluent and Mozilla’s localization philosophy, which is awesome for large projects. But for my small app, managing the strings myself is a bit overwhelming.
I can’t decide if I should just hire someone to handle the .xml string export properly or try to manage it myself with a tool like Poedit. I have a reference for a service that does the professional app translation route, which seems easier but obviously comes with a cost.
Has anyone here used a hybrid approach? Like, using a paid service for the initial translation but then managing the updates yourself through a Mozilla-style system? I’m trying to avoid those classic bugs where a translated word is too long for a button.
Thanks for the insight!
