Appeal unavailable – developer account blocked from submissions after AMO decision

Hello Mozilla Add-ons Team,

I received an enforcement email for my extension “CCB Computer Bridge”, decision reference:
01a11514-f269-7b90-98ea-d50262098014

The email explicitly states that I may appeal this decision within 6 months and provides an appeal URL.

However, when I open that appeal page, it states:
“This decision cannot be appealed.”

At the same time, my developer account is now blocked from new submissions. The AMO API returns:
“The email address used for your account is not allowed for submissions.”

I have already identified and corrected a likely disclosure issue in the submitted extension. Version 0.10.60 incorrectly declared data_collection_permissions: ["none"] although it uses Native Messaging to transfer browser/chat data to a locally installed native application.

The corrected version now declares:

  • personalCommunications
  • websiteContent
  • browsingActivity

I am not attempting to circumvent the enforcement action. I would like to use the official review/appeal process, but the provided appeal link does not allow an appeal.

Could you please provide an alternative appeal route or enable the appropriate appeal for the developer-account restriction?

Thank you.

Hi there and thanks for reaching out.

That message means that you already appealed the decision, so you did it correctly.

You don’t need to take any further steps. Once the reviewers review your appeal, they can update you on the decision by sending you an email.

Thank you.
