Finding installer for a specific nightly version

Hi. I develop addons and try them with different Firefox versions.
Now I have installed Firefox Nightly 53.0.2 en-US in which my addon works well. But when I download that version (or near that version) from Mozilla FTP
(https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/nightly/2017/01/2017-01-01-03-02-04-mozilla-central/firefox-53.0a1.en-US.win32.installer.exe) it doesn’t work.

I noticed that in my installed version the update channel is default and the 53.0a1 has nightly.
So I was searching for exactly 53.0.2 with no luck.

Here is some of the information from the page “Troubleshooting information”:

Name: Firefox
Version: 53.0.2
Build ID: 20170504105526
Update Channel: default
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:53.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/53.0
OS: Windows_NT 6.1
Multiprocess Windows: 0/1 (Disabled)
Safe Mode: false

I guess the Build ID property should point to the folder in the https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/nightly/ subtree. And there is only the folder with name 2017-05-04-10-55-26-mozilla-release-l10n which doesn’t have en-US installer (and it’s not Nightly).

So could someone point me to the right direction in this investigation.
Thanks.

Edit:
This is About window:

So, 53.0.2 is a release build, not nightly. There’s no Nightly that matches 53.0.2, as that’s probably 12 weeks apart (forgot when we did dawn).

More on the release process is on https://wiki.mozilla.org/Release_Management/Release_Process. Sadly, that still mentions Aurora, which we have dropped in the meantime.

If you’re trying to find out when something stopped working, http://mozilla.github.io/mozregression/ might turn out to be helpful.

Thanks. I added my About window above. It says it’s nightly but 53.0.2. Besides it allows me to install unsigned local addons which a release version doesn’t allow.

The mozregression tool doesn’t find anything Nightly with that version at the end of 2016, start of 2017. And according to the Build ID: 20170504105526 it should be (I suppose) in a folder/date 2017-05-04 but there is a 54.0a1 or something similar at that date range.

Maybe your profile has modified the update channel. Try to create a new profile.

p.s. FYI: http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/

No. It’s the same for any profile.

I suggest that you uninstall and reinstall your Firefox. I don’t know how you ended up with the install you have, but it’s not the build we ship for sure, and all kinds of things might be mixed in there. After uninstalling, make sure that the directory that used to have Firefox is actually gone.

Your profile is installed elsewhere on your machine, so you won’t loose your data.
