An idea for a new Thunderbird extension - Add Unsubscribe Footer
Currently there is nothing available for adding an unsubscribe link to the bottom of an email message.
The problem being that most unsubscribe links require a UID which in turn requires a database. Otherwise allowing unsubscribes from a form that accepts plain text email addresses can pose problems.
One solution is to encrypt the email address. But how can we decrypt that email address to be able to remove it from our address book. That is where an extension comes in.
But it also requires a genius to create such a thing. Who is interested?
