Issues with indexing my addon

#1

Hi.
I have recently released my first add-on and have difficulty with indexing it. What should I do to get the extension indexed in search engines (such as Google or Bing)?
Thanks.

Hey @hanna.smith.jr! That’s a great question. Yes, there are things you can do to improve SEO. Google has some recommendations published here: https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/7451184. tl;dr: search engines prioritize great content and design, so we recommend creating high-quality content for your extension’s product page.

Here are some quick tips for optimizing your product page:

  • In the summary field, include a short phrase that clearly and concisely explains what your extension does.
  • In your description field, include the most important information about the extension in the first 400 words. Describe what the extension does and how it benefits the user. Don’t repeat your summary.
  • Make sure you have an icon and screenshots for your extension.

Hope this helps!
