Lost access to two-factor authentication app after changing phone

Hello Mozilla Support Team,

I recently changed my mobile phone and unfortunately I no longer have access to my two-factor authentication app. I was using a Google Authenticator–type app that generated the verification codes, but the app was only installed on my old phone.

Because of this, I’m currently unable to log in to my Mozilla account. However, I still have full access to the email address associated with the account.

I would like to know what steps I can follow to recover access to my account or reset the two-factor authentication method.

Thank you very much for your help.

Best regards,
Daniel

if you can remember the name of the app you had, install that app, and there should be button for recovering your info. or go to that app’s website, and look for info on how to recover your account. for example if you were using Authy look here Authy | Authy

if you cant remember the name of the app, go to your “play store” account on the new device, or apple app store account, and there should be a history of apps you have previously installed, so you should be able to see it there somewhere

if that doesnt work, once you have the name of the app, google “how to recover my $APP_NAME account” (replace $APP_NAME with your 2fa app name)
