For some reason my extension:
Is not coming out in the search results. Nothing is wrong in the extension details page, no issues at upload, no review problems, it is active and set AS PUBLIC yet hidden from search results so people doesn’t find it.

I had patience for one year =)
Today I updated it, no big change at all. Then all of a sudden it is listed.
Believe me, it was not listed before this post and since 2025.
No, I’m sure it wasn’t. Somebody did its job silently after this post and left this as a mystery OR incompetent AI that took 2 updates of the extension over one year to finally allow it to be listed.
Hey there, Christos from Mozilla.
I’m really glad your extension is finally listed and accessible to everyone. Also, I wanted to confirm that no one did anything to your add-on and that it wasn’t shadowbanned, hidden, or anything. I checked all the logs, and I don’t see any action, manual or automated, taken by us. Again, thank you for contributing to the open web.
If your add-on is active, set to public, and has passed review, that doesn’t necessarily mean it will immediately appear near the top of search results—or even be easy to find using broad search terms.
AMO’s search system ranks add-ons using several factors, including how closely the name, summary, and description match the search query, as well as popularity. Popularity contributes to the ranking, and recommended or “By Firefox” add-ons receive additional ranking boosts. You can read more in the official AMO search documentation.
A newer add-on with relatively few users and downloads may therefore appear much lower than established extensions. There can also be a delay before a newly published add-on becomes searchable, although I wouldn’t assume indexing delay is the cause without checking.
Not appearing prominently in search results is not, by itself, evidence of a shadowban. If the public listing is accessible and the add-on is active, public, and approved, its low visibility alone doesn’t establish that Mozilla is deliberately suppressing it.
I’d recommend testing the exact add-on name first, then trying a few distinctive terms from its summary or description. If it still doesn’t appear after allowing some time for indexing, you can ask the Mozilla Add-ons community to help determine whether there’s an indexing issue.
In short, being publicly listed means the add-on is eligible to be found; it doesn’t guarantee a high search ranking or immediate visibility.
I see this problem was already solved, just wanted to put it out there
