Mozilla Review Delays Preventing My Self-Distributed Extension Registration

On May 16, I submitted the following extension to Firefox AMO for signing.

Extensions id:

markii_recorder_browser_extension@infotrace.mk2

Compared to the previous version, this update only modifies the update_url value in the manifest.json file and introduces no functional changes.

I have two requests/questions:

  • Since this update does not include any functional changes, would it be possible to prioritize its review and approval compared to other submissions?

  • I plan to prepare multiple versions of the extension with different update_url servers (e.g., one for internal use and another for customers), which means I need to submit several versions for review. If I submit a newer version while the current one is still pending review, will it affect the review queue position (e.g., cause delays or push it further back)?

I fully understand that there is currently a large backlog of extensions awaiting review and that the review process may be delayed. However, I would greatly appreciate it if you could kindly review my submission and provide a response when possible.

Hi @masatoshi.hayashi and thanks for reaching out.

I’m afraid I can’t promise anything, but I will let the reviewers know. Regarding uploading multiple versions, the position in the queue will not be affected.

I really appreciate your patience and understanding while we navigate this situation with a large number of submissions. Thank you.
