New developer cannot access Add-on Developer Hub: permission error

Hello Mozilla Add-ons team,

I am a new Firefox Add-ons developer and I am trying to migrate my existing Chrome extension to Firefox.

My Chrome extension currently has 1,000+ users, and I would like to publish a Firefox version through the official Add-on Developer Hub. However, I cannot access the Developer Hub after signing in. The page returns:

{“detail”:“You do not have permission to perform this action.”}

I have not submitted any Firefox add-on yet, so I do not have an AMO add-on ID or UUID. I also did not receive any warning, suspension notice, appeal email, or policy-related notification. I checked my inbox and spam folder, and I tried another browser, but the issue is the same.

Could someone from the AMO team please check whether my new developer account is blocked, restricted, or affected by an automated account review issue?

I am happy to provide my account email privately, as well as details about my Chrome extension, source code, privacy policy, permission usage, and migration plan if needed.

Thank you.

Hi @ronktsang and thanks for reaching out.

Your account might have been part of an incident we had last month.
Would it be possible to send me a private message with your user ID or email so I can check it and have your account re-enabled?

Also, out of curiosity, which add-on do you want to bring to Firefox? I would like to help you bring it to Firefox as smoothly as possible.

Hi @mozchris. Thank you for checking this!

I do not see a private message button on your profile, possibly because my Discourse account is new or was recently placed on hold.

Could you please send me a private message first, or let me know the best private channel where I can provide my Mozilla Account email?

Thanks!

Done! Otherwise, please email me at christos AT mozilla DOT com. Thank you!
