Problems with Tradfri RGBW bulbs

In the US this is the RGBW Tradfri bulb available from Ikea:

After getting through the pairing troubles, I have a controllable bulb but I’m having a hard time getting color controls to work properly, even when sending it a color change command as:

2020-02-16 17:35:23.275 INFO : zigbee: setProperty property: color for: zb-identifier_here-thing profileId: 0104 endpoint: 1 clusterId: 0300 zcl: xyV: [NaN(NaN), NaN(NaN),0] value: #000000

The bulb still is a lavender color, I’m assuming this is the W channel, and without being able to control the W channel, it is impossible to get decent colors out of these bulbs, especially any blues.

Anyone else have these bulbs and have them working as hoped?

Probably the same issue as this one: https://github.com/mozilla-iot/zigbee-adapter/issues/46

Definitely possible, although the symptoms seem to be inverted.

The RGBW bulb does appear as a color bulb and color change commands work, but it seems the W channel is always active as long as the bulb is on, so what should be rich colors are washed out because the backing blueish/white light is always engaged.
