I hope you mean uBlock Origin, since uBlock is code forked from uBlock Origin and maintained by a different person.
Thank you Mark12547. Yes, youāre absolutely correct. It is uBlock Origin.
So please note everyone, use uBlock Origin and not uBlock.
Glad you caught it.

Hi gorhill. Im pretty new to Ublock but I use uBlock Origin v1.13.8 and Google Chrome Version 59.0.3071.115 (Official Build) (64-bit) and I am signed into Chrome but Ublock is not updating my lists. I set the autoUpdatePeriod 1 (1 hour). Is there a way to do it without my user interaction?
appendix: all lists have clock icon and the update now button is greyed out
Thanks
Hello @gorhill
I feel really annoyed with āno right clickā scripts in webpages.
I know I can avoid it by putting ādom.event.contextmenu.enabledā property in about:config to false (as found here in wikihow), but that would break certain sites that use right click in a non-intrusive as part of their UI (Google Docs and Google Drive, for example).
I found I canāt right click on this site. I tried to find the guilty script without success:
Anyone has any idea why this happen and how to avoid it without breaking sites like Google Docs/Drive?
Thanks in advance.
Hello,
I am not finding a way to remove the frame āAdBlock Detectedā on this site:
http://www.clubedohardware.com.br/
Could you give me instructions on how to make it?
Iāve read the dynamic filter tutorial, tryed both global and local, top and specific site, allow (green) and noop (dark grey) for this options, but couldnāt resolve.
My best compliments.
@gorhill Can you please describe what sort of questions you will answer and which not? And are there certain things you are looking for the questioner to provide, in order to get an answer?
Thanks, and thanks for Ublock Origin !
Hello,
I have put the following links into my filter
https://search.yahoo.com/
(Yahoo adverts)
https://yahoo.uservoice.com/forums/600772?auth=yahoo
(feedback button)
Initially the adverts and feedback button disappeared, but they have have returned.
Advice please.
Do you accept donations for my most used and favorite addon???
One more about:config preference to disable in Firefox for pre-fetching browser.urlbar.speculativeConnect.enabled
detected & blocked by jazzradio
the reason why i use firefox is that it used to have superior adblocking capabilites compared to chrome (could block some ads that chrome cant and lower overhead through adblocking)
will this still be the case when in firefox 57 ublockO will be an webext ?
or will chrome have the same (or even better) adblocking capabilities as firefox ?
thx
There already is a WebExtension version of uBlockOrigin. Seems to work well for me.
Submit cases of unblocked ads to filter list maintainers:
Try:
mancharealviva.com##script:inject(abort-on-property-write.js, document.oncontextmenu)
Thanks alot for your answer and time Gorhill.
Another question: if using ublock origin how does microsoft edge fare compared to chrome and firefox in terms of adblocking capabilities and performance ?
