I think your original post made good points about (1) anonymous reviews by trolls, and (2) the inappropriateness of complaints about legacy extensions not working on Quantum.
There must be other discussions of the first point? Fake positive reviews are also a problem.
The second point seems to be a short term concern, since legacy extensions are expected to be removed from AMO in the not too distant future.
