Kitsune release notes 2021-03-23

Full changes since last release.

It’s a small release this week containing a few bug fixes, as we continue to roll out the new version of instant search to a greater proportion of users:

• Fix instant search results not being displayed when the query ends with a space
• Fix typo in document(s) pluralization in user profiles
• Fix link to profile contribution document failing when the profile username contains a “+” character
• Fix posts from trusted contributors being marked as spam
  • Prior to this release we manually excluded the top 20 AAQ contributors from the spam filter to reduce the affect of this bug, now once again all users in the trusted contributors group will be unaffected by the filter
• Refactor community search
  • This shouldn’t change functionality but brings its implementation in line with our new implementation of AAQ and KB search
• Update copyright notice to 2021 and beyond
  • We’ll never have to manually update this again, thank you @plwt for pointing this out!

This is another long overdue thank you from me as well! Thank you Leo & Tasos for all your tireless work to upgrade SUMO & all its ancient bits to something that’s from this century!!! (Ex. Elastic search 1.0 [2014] to Elastic 7.0 [2019 - 2021]!)

Also thank to you Gaurav Ghati & any other new Kitsune code contributors we have! I’m a bit behind, I hope to catch up with all the awesome progress you have made.
