The Support Sprint is happening: Get ready!

It could be helpful, if the SuMo answers doc also has a link to https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/about-knowledge-base

I’m currently translating the doc to German on Crowdin.
Will the doc’s links be updated (once I’m finished) so that all links to support.mozilla.org link to the german version?

I just noticed that https://crowdin.com/translate/sumo-playstore/936/en-de#1393503 (EDIT: first link didn’t link to the string id) doesn’t contain “or via Kiwi”, yet.

EDIT:
Greeting ------------> Hi/Hello username
is missing as well

I have a question specific to German responses, are we supposed to address the users (you) formally or informally, when their review wasn’t clearly informal?
https://blogs.transparent.com/german/the-german-you-duzen-und-siezen/

I translated everything except the prepared responses to German.
I will continue, once the crowdin strings are up to date with the doc

Another inconsistency, I found:

Hey Felix,
just a note the translated strings are a smaller version of the original doc. We did that to make sure our volunteers won’t have to translate a big doc in a small notice. So that is the reason you see inconsistencies.

As for the links, yes we will take out the en-US on Monday to ensure it directs to the preferred language of the user.

You might want to have a look at https://wiki.mozilla.org/L10n:Teams:de/Leitfaden_Übersetzung#Anrede

thx!
does the playstore count as social media, though?

Hah, interesting question. I would say no.

Hey Philipp
I’ve reported this one to the devs and we were wondering ig you saved the url when you got that?

(I know a long shot but worth asking)

hi, not sure if understand that question - the url is always the same: https://supportusers.mozilla.community/responses

when i retest it now, it’s working fine most of the time, not always though:

Helping users is awesome and the Support Sprint is a great way to get involved in this. I am really enjoying it and hope other people are too.

As you may have seen, the Side View Test Pilot experiment has been released. This allows you to have open two tabs on the same screen - and is perfect for the Support Sprint as you can have the common responses in one pane and the Support Sprint tool in the other.

Suddenly helping users just got a little bit more awesome.

Interesting, I didn’t know about that test pilot and used the side-by-side feature of my OS until now ^^
Thx for the info

btw we got quite a lot of German responses so might want to moderate some now: https://supportusers.mozilla.community/responses

Note: you should switch your language to only German for this since the English replies are more and you will probably again see mostly English
