Request to enable Pashto (ps) for Firefox Desktop and Android products

Hello Mozilla Localization team,

We have an active Pashto (ps) localization team in Mozilla Pontoon.
Pashto is already localized for Mozilla Common Voice and Mozilla Spontaneous Speech.

I have filed a Bugzilla request to enable Pashto (ps) localization for:

  • Firefox Desktop

As the Pashto (ps) localization team manager, my team and I are ready to begin translation, review, and long-term maintenance.

Thank you for your guidance and support.

For Firefox desktop, see this discussion: https://discourse.mozilla.org/t/about-requesting-a-new-locale-for-firefox/86515

Before starting to work on that, you should familiarize yourself with Firefox/Focus for Android and their release cycles (they are now available in Pontoon).

For the future, as a manager you request projects directly from Pontoon if they’re available (Firefox Desktop isn’t, and the explanation is in the link above): https://mozilla-l10n.github.io/localizer-documentation/tools/pontoon/teams_projects.html#requesting-a-project

P.S. several folks are out for the holidays, so expect slower replies until January

Thank you for the clarification, Francesco.

I requested Firefox for Android and Focus for Android directly via Pontoon.

For Firefox Desktop, I will follow the process outlined in the linked discussion.

Thank you for the guidance.
